About Horsham ChATs

Ways to Participate

  • Email List: ChATs maintains an email list which is used for communicating information about:
    • Breaking news in the township
    • Press Releases from the Horsham Police Department
    • Emergency Readiness and Training Information from partner agencies such as the American Red Cross
  • Emergency Services Contact List
    • This is a new service being tested by ChATs that allows residents to add emergency contact information to our database. In the event of an emergency the Horsham Township Police and other Emergency Service agencies can access this database to find information necessary to contact you.
  • ChATs Volunteer/Coordinator
    • Coordinators will organize, promote and set meetings and agendas for ChATs neighborhood groups.
    • VolunteerYou will be a volunteer in the event of an emergency. Such things as snowstorms and floods frequently stretch resources as a community. The ChATs volunteers will be called upon to assist local authorities should the need ever arise. Volunteers are also needed to assist the Fire Company, Police Department, and Public Works Department.
    • ChATs Coordinators and Volunteers will need to pass a Police Background Check

Privacy

Information provided to ChATs will be used only for ChATs business as described above. This information may be shared with your ChATs neighborhood coordinator and with the Horsham Police Department (ChATs is a volunteer organization which reports to the Chief of Police).

Emergency Contact Information will be shared with agencies which include but are not limited to the Horsham Police Department, Horsham Fire Department, and Horsham Emergency Services. Information will only be shared with these agencies in the event of an emergency and only if you have opted to share this information. For example, you may provide an email address to ChATs in order to be on our email list. This email will only be available for emergency contact if you also provide it for this purpose (Need to define how)
